Byzantium is a dress in pure pleated silk. Not a print, not an effect: the pleats are pressed directly into the thread using heat, creating a rippling, almost liquid surface that shimmers with petrol green and midnight blue reflections with every step. A silk with body, which does not flutter but falls.

The cut is rigorous. High neckline, sleeveless, slightly defined waist. The only decorative concession is the burgundy bouclé wool trim, hand-crocheted using an ancient technique of interlocking loops. It frames the neck like jewelry and descends vertically, then horizontally, like a stylized Byzantine cross. Hence the name.
